Account Dashboard: a web app that replaced paper registers A case study by Ansh Kapuriya

Today
Hi, I’m Ansh. I built Account Dashboard. Ask me anything about it.
I’ve typed your first question below. Just press send.
What is the Account Dashboard?
A private web app for a metals business. Every order, bill, challan and payment goes in once, and the totals for each customer work themselves out, live.
- Type
- Finance web app
- Built for
- A metals trading business
- Tracks
- Orders, bills, challans, payments, packing
- Result
- 8 hours saved every week
How did they manage before?
Paper registers, challan books and a calculator. To answer “how much does this customer still owe us?”, someone had to add up weeks of entries by hand.
What does the dashboard show?
For each customer: total order weight, how much has been sent and how much is still left to send. Then total billed, money received and net outstanding.
It also puts bill weight next to challan weight, so a short or extra delivery shows up at once.
Did the team have to learn new software words?
No, and that mattered. The screens use the words they already wrote in their registers: Aavak and Javak for incoming and outgoing, Paisa Aavya for money received, Kharidi for purchases, Bardan for packing bags.
Nobody had to learn accounting software to use it.
What else is in it?
- Quick entry forms for challans, invoices, purchases and payments
- A list of every entry, filtered by type
- Analytics and reports
- Sign-in, so only their team sees the numbers
Could this work for my business?
If you’re a wholesaler, trader, distributor or manufacturer who sends goods on challan and gives credit, yes. The same goes for anyone still running on registers or five spreadsheets.
A web app like this starts at $249 and takes 2 to 3 weeks.
Can you build one for us?
Yes. Tell me what you track today and how. A photo of a register page is enough to start.
